Roller shade questions

Can roller shades give true blackout for a bedroom?

Yes. Pair a blackout fabric with our optional side light-blockers (L- or U-shaped channels) that seal the edges of the window. Without side channels, a little edge light is normal — the channels are what create true darkness for bedrooms and media rooms.

What sizes and mounts can you do?

We custom-make roller shades to fit your windows — from small openings to large picture and floor-to-ceiling windows. We also handle sloped sills, wide spans, and ceiling or wall mounts. We confirm exact sizing for your specific fabric at your free measurement.

What's forward vs. reverse roll?

Forward (standard) roll keeps the fabric close to the glass for a tight look. Reverse roll runs the fabric off the front of the tube to clear protruding window handles or deep sills — we'll recommend the right one at your measurement.

Can roller shades be motorized?

Yes — roller shades are our most popular motorized style, with remote, app, and voice control, plus a manual-automatic option. A single motor can even operate several linked shades together.

Are the fabrics certified?

Yes — our fabrics carry OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, GREENGUARD, and SGS certifications.

How much do roller shades cost?

Think of it like furniture — a simple, well-made shade is an everyday essential, while a designer fabric or custom configuration is more of a statement. Price depends on size, fabric, and options. You'll get a clear, no-obligation quote at your free in-home consultation.

What's the warranty?

Up to 5 years — motors and smart controllers for 5 years, corded mechanisms for 3 years, cordless systems for 2 years.
